About Course
A self-defense program designed with an emphasis on the understanding of legal limits, de-escalation techniques, personal protection, with a focus on ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
Training Objectives
- Understand Legal and Liability Considerations: Coverage of laws and regulations related to self-defense and use of force.
- Develop De-Escalation Skills: Learn techniques to defuse potentially violent situations providing options to avoid physical confrontation.
- Implement Effective Self-Defense Techniques: Last resort technique’s, to include edge survival and weapon defense.
- Promote Safety and Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of incidents and maintain safety protocols.
Self-Defense Techniques
Counter: Learn techniques to evade attacks, only engaging use force when necessary and to the minimum extent required to the threat.
Control: Use control holds to restrain individuals safely. Ensure techniques are applied with minimal force and only to the extent necessary.
De-escalate: Know how to safely release individuals once the threat is neutralized and ensure safe retreat for all.
Documentation: Cover the importance of documenting all incidents thoroughly, including context, actions taken, and any witnesses. Accurate records help protect against liability
- Regular Training: Ensure all personnel comprehend the importance of receiving regular training on de-escalation and self-defense techniques.
